Urgent Care Services at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital
SmartCare provides experienced GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) to support Urgent Care Services at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital (BHH) and Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Our team works alongside hospital staff to deliver a dedicated streaming service, ensuring patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician as quickly as possible.
If you arrive at the Emergency Department and are triaged or streamed to our Urgent Care team, you’ll be seen by one of our clinicians for assessment and treatment — often much faster than waiting in A&E.
This service helps patients with urgent but non-emergency needs receive timely, high-quality care while easing pressure on Emergency Departments.
